WW1 Royal Flying Corps Officer's Peak Cap to an officer killed in 1918. A very good rare example of the floppy style khaki cotton cap, retaining bronze OSD cap badge and the correct WW1 pattern thin brown leather chinstrap with GS buttons. The interior with quilted lining. In excellent condition other than two small holes which line up suggesting bullet or shrapnel ball damage.
The cap is named twice to Lieutenant A E B Sutton who was killed in a flying accident on July 4th 1918. Arthur Eldred Barker Sutton transferred from the 6th Liverpool Regiment and had arrived in France in June 1918 serving with No. 12 squadron Was buried in Bebington Cemetery
