A very nice cuff rank tunic to Lt Colonel Roland Forestier - Walker of the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers and trousers with matching tailors labels. Complete with all brass Royal Engineers buttons, collar badges and impressive cuff rank. The tunic is made from a heavy weight wool in superb condition. (There is almost zero moth, just a couple of pin pricks). There is wear to the lining but none to the exterior. Chest size 38 inches. The trousers are also in very good condition (There are two small and neat repairs)
Colonel Forestier Walker served as a lieutenant in the Boer War 1900, achieving the rank of captain in 1901. Promoted to major in 1908 and Lt Colonel in 1917. Was mentioned in despatches in 1916. Became full colonel in 1929. Comes with some research.
