An excellent WW1, 1917 dated British tunic to a member of the 8th Manchester Regiment. Complete with all brass general service buttons, two darts (pleats) under each collar, T 8 Manchester brass shoulder titles and embroidered '8' battle patches. Manufacturers label dated 1917, Glanfield & Sons. In excellent condition. (four pin head size moth holes) looks almost unworn. The 8th Manchester were a territorial regiment attached to the 42nd East Lancashire division, the first territorial division to be sent overseas (September 1914 to Egypt, Gallipoli and finally France)
