A good cuff rank tunic to Lt Colonel George Barry Drew of the 1st battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Hawkes & Co, Savile Row Tailors label . Complete with all brass Prince of Wales, West Yorkshire Regiment buttons, collar badges and overseas service stripes. Impressive Lieutenant Colonel's cuff rank. The tunic is made from a heavy weight wool in good condition. (Light surface moth, small hole to rear and lower front edge wear) . Chest size 38 inches.

George Barry Drew came from a family with a long tradition of military service.
1888 2nd Lieutenant.
1890 1st Lieutenant
1895 Captain. Aide de camp to General Kitchener.
1899 won a civilian bravery award for diving into the River Ouse at York to save two men who had fallen in.
1914 Major arrives France commanding 5th Corps school.
1917 commandant of the 31st Division School of Instruction
1918 Lieutenant Colonel of the 1st West Yorkshire Regiment.
