Well made thick khaki wool British soldiers Balaklava. Looks to be hand knitted. In excellent condition, possibly unworn. Balaklavas and other trench 'comforts' were made in their millions by wives, mothers and sweethearts to help overcome the poor weather conditions often faced by soldiers in the trenches. Has no name or date.
