WW2 Womens MTC Mechanised Transport Corps

A rare cap to an exclusive group of women volunteers in WW2. Made famous by the 'Foyles War' character Sam Stewart. These ladies were mostly middle class volunteers who could already drive and owned their own car. A few small moth holes (see photos). Green silk lining and 'Lillywhites' retailers label.
