WW2 ATS WOMEN'S 'AUXILIARY TERRITORIAL SERVICE' TUNIC. A tunic to a member of the ATS a womens organisation formed in 1938 to aid the army. Integral waist belt, brass general service buttons, arm badges to HQ 21st Army Group, ATS shoulder titles , sub leader arm stripes and ATS lanyard. Brass badge above chest pocket showing attachment to the education corps. Named to M Sansom in ink and manufacturers label 'ATS Jackets Serge, size 10, Height 5 ft 6 inches, bust 35/6 and waist 27/8 inches, manufactured by Drake & Joel, 1943. In good overall condition (Two moth holes to the front hidden when buttoned up and another to left sleeve).
