RFC and RAF 1st Pattern Sidcot Suit. A one piece flying suit introduced into RFC service towards the end of WWI. Designed by Sidney Cotton, hence the name Sidcot. A very scarce example in original condition. The quilted fireproof fabric is in good condition with minor stains and service wear.(A few small areas of wear) Diagonal chest map pocket. The leg pockets are correctly fur lined and all button closures are intact. The synthetic fur lining is also good. No label, but the inner flap is stamped 13 WD P.
