WW1 British Other ranks Khaki Drill Pith Helmet in very good condition. W.D. War Department stamp 162 over WD over O. Strong firm body (One soft area to the rear). Complete with pugaree, Leather sweatband and top ventilation screw cap. Yellow and blue piping to the pugaree (According to 'The Wolseley Helmet' book by Stuart Bates page 53 this identifies the regiment as the East Kent / Buffs.). Wearer named to interior under the Sweatband as A Simms.
