Australian 1907 pattern hooked quillon Lithgow Bayonet and Scabbard . Bayonet ricasso upside down stamped 1915 to the blade. Either a mistake made in the armoury or a faked stamp. There is also a 10/ 21 (October 1921) stamp which could be the actual date of the bayonet. Pommel faint stamp. The quillon is also stamped 4 M.D. 6483 (4th Military District, South Australia). The scabbard is stamped W.J.H.B in two places. Condition is excellent for its age.
