WW1 pattern British khaki Officer's named Pith Tropical Sun helmet.
A very good condition Pith 'Wolseley' pattern sun helmet. Late WW1 with internal leather sweat band and complete with multi fold pagri band. Faint manufacturers stamp overwritten by hand 5/2/17. Cloth Retailers label ' Tress & Co, London'. Clear owners name Captain M.O.B. Broadbridge , Devon Regiment.
Captain Broadridge first served in the 28th London Regiment (Artist's Rifles which served as a holding unit for prospective officers) as a private. After being commissioned served in the 8th Devonshire Regiment. Landed in France July 1915 as part of the 7th Division. In late 1917 the division was transferred to Italy where a sun helmet was required.
The helmet is approx size 6 3/4. Cork is in excellent condition free from any weaknesses. Little wear.

British pre WW1 1907 pattern Hooked Quillion Bayonet by Wilkinson. Dated 1909. Bayonet and scabbard both in good condition. Bayonet hilt marked 3 D.Y. (Dorset Yeomanry ?) and the number 99. The number 99 is also stamped at the top of the scabbard. Scabbard is maker marked to leather (Crows Foot) A.C. 10.

British Army officers white cotton drill undress / mess jacket & Trousers. Victorian 'Queens Crown' collar badges to the Royal Army Medical Corps and 'Kings Crown' shoulder rank crowns (Major rank). Matching high waisted trousers with single small ticket pocket on the waist. (Interwar trouser buttons made in Germany & Czechoslovakia). Jacket & Trousers are both in good little worn condition.
